Some California earthquake insurance rates are dropping

SACRAMENTO -- In California, two earthquake insurance companies are lowering their rates. Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones announced Friday that he approved a 15.5% rate reduction for Chubb Insurance. California's workers' compensation insurance premiums rank as the third highest in the nation, according to a study by the Oregon Department of Consumer & Business Services.
